When Stan (Peter Cameron) arrives home from
a business trip, he is expecting to be greeted by his wife and
children. Instead, he is greeted by Bob (Hugh Smith), who
casually tells him that his wife is dead but tries to ease his
pain by offering him Sue-Lee (Patricia Toh), a mail-order bride.
While the idea sounds slightly macabre, this was one of the
funnier plays of the first act, and Cameron's performance in
particular is quite impressive. Writer Aaron Scully has done
well – watch out for the twist at the end.
