Reviews from AUSSIETHEATER and AUSTRALIAN STAGE

"A couple split up to travel the world and look for the perfect partner. This graphic onstage illustration of romantic illusion is well conceived and written by Aaron Scully and performed with vigour and subtlety by David Bailiht and Katherine Halliday."

"Aaron Scully brought us a crowd-pleaser with Perfect, a witty little piece about two Aussies who go overseas searching for love only to meet up with each other after all. The actors did tremendously well (and were perhaps overlooked for awards), but the real star was the tight and imaginative direction, filled with lots of mime and stylised interaction, which very fairly netted James Winter the award for Best Direction."

"The play Perfect, is just that. It’s an energetic and polished piece featuring two love-lorn characters travelling the world in search of their ideal mates. James Winter's direction is well paced and irresistibly cute, with some nice snappy double actions that serve the script well."

Short and Sweet Awards

Aaron was awarded $2000 cash development courtesy of AFC to transfer his script from stage to film.

Short and Sweet also awarded James Winter "Best Director" for his direction of 'Perfect'.
